On one of our investigations at Lawrence Cemetery, we had split off from the group because I needed to go back to the truck to get fresh batteries. That left 3 people on one end of the cemetery and 2 other on the other end which were about 40 -50 feet apart from each other. One investigator was about to set down his digital recorder on a gravestone right at the edge of the cemetery and commanded any spirit to show themselves. Before he reached the headstone he suddenly heard loud thick branches on the ground breaking. Faster than any animal or person could do. The sound came from right in the middle of the shrubs and came right after him and stopped just before it would of hit the grass of the cemetery at breakneck speed. None of he branches or foliage of the shrubs moved a bit. There was no rustling of anything except for the sound of the breaking branches. Heavy snapping, that only the weight of a person could of made yet no one or anything was there. He was naturally startled and didn’t think to turn on his recorder as he dashed away somewhat and looked back and nothing was there. As the noise started, he did see a shadow about 4 to 5 feet tall and not human like. Nothing ever went back into the woods to retreat either. It came from nowhere and went back to nowhere. I had come back at that point with 2 other investigators and we went to check out that spot and take photos. There was a strange glow on a weedy area about 2 feet in diameter on just one plant. The moon was out but the foliage was too thick for moonlight to penetrate and get through to that area. I did take a picture, we all seem to remember and think I took it from the left side of the tombstone but when I put the picture on the computer, it was shown as taken from the right side of the headstone. Nothing appeared in the photo.
